Tucked into a historic villa in Wellington’s Mount Victoria, Rosella is a relaxed neighborhood restaurant and wine bar made for lingering. Share-style plates inspired by the Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa sit alongside cocktails and a wine list full of New Zealand and European finds, making it an easy spot for a quick glass or a long, unhurried dinner.

We pour over 38 wines by the glass, with a big focus on New Zealand, as well as showcasing what the Mediterranean has to offer. We have an ever changing range of 'wines of the moment' available by the glass, which gives us the chance to shine a light on wines and winemakers we love.

Ella Cass

Ella Cass’s wine journey began in the north of England, championing small organic and biodynamic wineries. A natural wine advocate and avid Chardonnay drinker, Ella moved to Aotearoa in 2025 and joined Rosella after a summer in Martinborough, working closely with family-run wineries. Named one of New Zealand’s Top 100 Sommeliers 2026 and among the Top 5 Ones to Watch.
