Special Cuvée 173ème Édition, Krug

Ciel Bleu is proudly a Krug Ambassade since 2022, this give us the pleasure to share with our guests this unique Cuvée, a dream born from the mind of Joseph Krug in 1843.
The simphony of the lastest edition is composed with a blend of 150 wines coming from 13 different vintages, with the youngest 2017 and going back until 2001.
The balance between the creamy texture and citrus aromas make this Champagne a perfect start of the evening.

Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Magnum, Bruno Colin, 2021

To deliver a unique sip trough the fish courses of our menu we selected an icon of Burgundy and in the specific of cote de Beaune.
Legend say that Charlemagne noted that the Abbey sections of the slope was the place where snow melted first and ordered that grapevines to be planted here.
Colin is taking care to express the purest form of Chardonnay, combining power and finesse.

Saint-Julien, Château Leoville Barton 2 ième Grand Cru Classe, 1995, France

In our selection by the glass cannot miss an old vintage of Bordeaux to match seasonal meat dishes as the wagyu A5.
This wine is a testament to the excellence of the left bank and the village of St-Julien, crafted in one the most beautiful harvest for this iconic wine region.
The wine is based on cabernet sauvignon to release typical aromas of dark cherries, tobacco, cassis and it’s combined with a touch of merlot to ensure ripe red fruits flavor.

Noël Vanwittenbergh - Belgian-born sommelier, is working at Ciel Bleu for over 15 years, representing this venue at global culinary and wine events. Awarded as Sommelier of the year in 2019 by Michelin Netherlands.
