At Cocoro, Japanese for 'heart and soul', we serve contemporary Japanese cuisine in an old brick building nestled just off Auckland's lively Ponsonby Road. Each visit to Cocoro is Ichigo Ichie, a bespoke culinary experience. Each visit is an opportunity to slow down, savour the experience, and enjoy the harmony between the beauty of seasonal ingredients and carefully selected wines and sake.

Cocoro offers 36 wines and sake by the glass, celebrating New Zealand, Japan and beyond. Our wine list highlights regional character and craftsmanship, including wines by Japanese winemakers in New Zealand. Our sake selection showcases Japan's regional diversity, with premium Nabeshima sake from the owner-chef's hometown, exclusively available at Cocoro.
