At Southside we are nestled under two railway overpasses, in a leafy urban oasis. Our atmosphere can only be characterised as the perfect balance between relaxed and bustling. From bold Thai flavours to traditional cantonese dishes, our asian fusion menu allows for our wine experience to be fun, energetic and approachable.

The wine program reflects the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere. The list brings together a thoughtful mix of established Australian producers and up-and-coming rising stars, complemented by a touch of European influence to keep things fresh and dynamic. Our focus is on approachability and ease, giving guests the confidence to choose comfortably while encouraging a sense of curiosity.

Dazma Vermentino

The Dazma Vermentino is from the Alpine Valleys, VIC. It is an approachable, every day drinker with lovely texture, interesting winemaking and from an up-and-coming winery. It goes amazingly well with our seafood and poultry dishes and cuts through the bold flavours of the menu

Burn Cottage "Moonlight Race" Pinot Noir

A classic Central Otago Pinot Noir to offer something timeless to the BTG list. It sits in the medium bodied sweet spot, a classic producer that everyone loves so it moves fast. A savoury touch with subtle spice and tannin means it is the perfect accompaniment for our bolder dishes.

Aaliyah Cartmill

Originally from Manchester in the UK, I started my wine journey whilst working in a family-run wine bar/store. I gained my WSET qualifications there, before emigrating to Australia. Since then I have worked in numerous wine-focused restaurants and bars and fine wine stores across Brisbane. I have now settled at Southside and have been here for nearly 1.5 years, curating a great wine culture.
