Rutz started with a glass, not a plate. Founded in 2001 by Anja and Carsten Schmidt with sommelier Lars Rutz as a wine bar in Berlin-Mitte. Wine came first here, and it has remained so. Marco Müller's cuisine and Sebastian Höpfner's wine pairings at Rutz are not separate disciplines, but the same signature expressed in two languages. Berlin’s only three-star restaurant.
