Syrah “Luc” Domaine Rouchier - 2019 - Saint Joseph AOP, France

Domaine Rouchier’s “Luc” shows why Saint Joseph is such a treasure. It’s Syrah in its purest form. Dark fruit, violets, cracked pepper, and stony minerality crafted with a light hand. The result is both powerful and elegant, a wine that speaks directly of the Northern Rhône’s rugged hillsides.

Chardonnay "Côte de Jouan" Grivot-Goisot 1er Cru, 2023, Chablis, France

Grivot Goisot Côte de Jouan is a vibrant premier cru Chablis. Farmed organically and made with a natural touch, it shows citrus, green apple, saline freshness and flinty minerality. Being based in California, I often hear guests say they don’t like Chardonnay, scarred by big oaky butter bombs. This wine is the opposite, proving how pure and precise Chardonnay can be and a great way to re-introduce people back into how amazing Chardonnay can be.

Sangiovese (Brunello di Montalcino) “Castello + Velo” – Castello Tricerchi, 2018 – Tuscany, Italy

Castello Tricerchi’s Castello Velo Brunello di Montalcino is a beautiful example of Sangiovese at its peak. From an historic Tuscan estate, the 2018 vintage shows red cherry, dried herbs, leather and a touch of spice. The tannins are firm yet refined, giving a wine that is structured, age worthy and deeply evocative of Montalcino’s rolling hills.
