Charta Riesling, Spreitzer, Rheingau

An excellent Riesling that authentically reflects the grape variety and origin. Stylistically approachable, with milder acidity and precise, clear fruit – balanced and harmonious in the glass. Ideal for open serving and an international audience. "Charta" also stands for lived tradition and solidarity in the Rheingau since 1984.

Chardonnay "Löwengang," Alois Lageder, South Tyrol

One of the greatest Chardonnays of South Tyrol and a benchmark throughout Italy. A classic and flagship of Alois Lageder. Previously more opulent with more new oak, it now presents itself as significantly more elegant and precise, without losing any charm. A wine with great aging potential that is especially enjoyable by the glass.

Bansella Nizza, Prunotto, Piedmont

A top wine through quality, not prestige. Made from Barbera, but clearly influenced by the Nizza/Monferrato origin, where wines are more powerful. Full-bodied and structured, without feeling heavy, with tannins that encourage drinking. A versatile companion for pasta, meat, or on its own after a meal.

I have been working at Hotel de Rome for over ten years, responsible for the wine selection. My professional development has been shaped by tastings, masterclasses, exchanges with industry colleagues, training sessions, and trade fairs. My focus is on Italy; currently, I am passionate about Riesling and Pinot. I am supported by Lidde Hansen (WSET 3), who specializes in France and Chenin Blanc from the Loire.
