The City Wine Shop is a bottle shop, wine bar and Bistrot in an iconic Melbourne venue perched on Spring St. It offers a wide range of local and imported wines at all prices and a European-influenced food menu.

We endeavor to showcase a balanced offering from the entire world of wine, from the Old World to the New World, from traditional to esoteric. Our wine by the glass list and famous wine wall is a study in equilibrium. We offer thirty-six wines by the glass; you could start with Andre Clouet Grande Reserve Brut, and finish with 2020 I Custodi ‘Imbris’ Etna Bianco Superiore.

2023 Joh Jos Prüm ‘Bernkasteler Badstube’ Kabinett Riesling

Easily the most fine and delicate of Prüm’s 2023 Kabinett trio, the Bernkasteler Badstube is razor sharp acid, drive, and lift. Very limited, we only get twelve bottles per year.

2025 Monopole ‘Eminence Vineyard’ Pinot Noir by Fleet Wines

Our very own Monopole label celebrates the newest producers, from the New World to the legends of the Old World. We've collaborated with the likes of Ernie Loosen from Weingut Dr. Loosen to our new Pinot Noir produced roduced in collaboration with Fleet Wines and The City Wine Shop. This Pinot Noir hails from one of Victoria’s most elevated vineyard sites. The fruit comes from The Burder Vineyard on the Whitlands High Plateau (841m). Grown by Clare Burder and Pete Allen.

NV Bérêche et Fils Brut Réserve Vieilles Vignes

Bérêche et Fils is a historical family Champagne house founded in 1847 and today run by brothers Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche. Taut, focused with just enough richness.
