Bisou

Rating 4

GREG'S HIDDEN GEM

Experience: Sophisticated & Stylish

Specialist in: Alsace | Bordeaux | Burgundy

Bisou is a modern French restaurant on Soi Langsuan, a two-minute walk from BTS Chit Lom. The 60-seat space is built around intimacy, its signature "kiss wall" of cinematic panels sets a warm, romantic tone that's made it a go-to for date nights. Chef Antoine Darquin leads the kitchen with French-rooted, seasonal "author's cuisine," from truffle French toast to Beef Wellington carved tableside.

Bisou pours 18 wines by the glass, built for exploring rather than committing to one bottle. France leads, anchored by a strong Burgundy showing. Notably, the list opens bottles most restaurants reserve for full-bottle service: aged Barbaresco, a decades-old Rhône red, and other rarities poured by the glass alongside easier everyday choices.

GLASS HIGHLIGHTS

Subject to availability*

2017 Champagne Dom Pérignon

The 2017 vintage of Moët & Chandon's prestige cuvée, poured by the glass rather than reserved for full-bottle service — an unusually generous way to open a meal.

1995 Syrah Côte-Rôtie 'La Mordorée' M. Chapoutier

A single-vineyard Northern Rhône Syrah from Chapoutier, over 30 years old, offered by the glass — the kind of aged rarity that anchors the list's "Rare & Iconic" character.

Théo Lavergne, Co-Founder & Head Sommelier

Théo Lavergne is Bisou's co-founder and head sommelier, bringing fine-dining pedigree from Le Clarence in Paris (2 Michelin stars) and Maison Troisgros (3 Michelin stars). His list runs alongside Chef Antoine Darquin's seasonal menu, constantly evolving to showcase varied styles, terroirs and lesser-known vinification methods.
