We're located in the heart of Balham on Hildreth St. and for the past 15 years we've enjoyed the support of locals and beyond. We offer approachable wines and encourage guests to ask questions, taste unfamiliar wines and explore underclaimed regions of the world. True to our name, we host three guided tastings per week, all themed for different preferences.

We have 20–30 wines open by the glass at any time, always a mix. We believe in showcasing talented winemakers from lesser-known regions, while still offering classics and crowd favourites, often with a twist. Seasonality is key, so our selection subtly evolves throughout the year.

I have been with The Wine Tasting Shop since 2021, joining just after the pandemic during the post-lockdown surge in hospitality. Over the past four years, I have curated and expanded the selection, aiming to diversify the range. A hundred tastings, several vineyard visits and a diploma later, I continue to shape a dynamic and exploratory wine offering.
