Located on the King’s Road, Medlar is an independently owned restaurant from Chef Joe Mercer Nairne and Front of House manager David O’Connor. The restaurant opened in April 2011 and has gained many exemplary reviews over the years and have built a fine reputation for food and service as well as gaining many loyal customers.

Our venue makes wine fun, approachable, and adventurous. With Coravin, we pour premium wines by the glass, so guests can explore hidden gems and iconic bottles without committing to the whole bottle. Recognized by the trade, we share exclusive selections in a relaxed, welcoming way—making every glass a chance to discover, connect, and enjoy.

Irene Banet and Maxime Lamour

Irene, with Michelin-starred experience in Málaga and London (Bardal, Ametsa by Arzak), found her passion in Jerez and Sherry, with deep expertise across Spain and South Africa. Maxime, trained at Alain Ducasse and born in Avignon, mastered the Loire, especially Anjou, while keeping the Rhône Valley as his enduring passion.
