We are situated in the quaint village of Chapman's Peak in Noordhoek, Cape Town. Our goal, as a family-owned and run restaurant, wine bar and boutique wine shop is to provide a memorable wine and food experience in a non-pretentious atmosphere where our patrons (and their kids & dogs) can relax under the milkwoods!

Experience the wine route under one roof! Furny’s has an extensive wine menu with over 150 wines and 70+ wines by the glass. Restless River Main Road and Dignity Cabernet

We love this wine as it is one of the few cool climate Cabernets around and the only Cab Sauv from the Hemel-en-Aarde region. The resultant style is more of a refined, complex old world rather than a heavy, new-world style.

Porseleinberg Syrah

A beautiful wine from the schist-soiled, windswept Porseleinberg Farm in the Swartland. A balance of power, finesse, and minerality. Highly acclaimed with the 2023 vintage recently awarded 100 points by Tim Atkin. High percentage of whole bunch fermentation with minimal intervention and a significant portion using submerged cap fermentation.

Mullineux Old Vines White

A Swartland white blend - layered and expressive, hailing from the decomposed granite soils of the Paardeberg. These sustainably farmed vines are in their 7th decade, grown at an average of 400 meters. The incredible texture and backbone of this wine is brought by the low
yielding, deeply rooted old-vine Chenin Blanc. The Clairette Blanche and Grenache
Blanc add layers of salinity and freshness, while the Viognier and Sémillon Gris add to
its inviting aromatics.

Wayne and Murray Furness are a father and son team that lead the wine selection and management at Furny's, ably supported by the management team that give regular input and advice. They all have varied qualifications in wine and have a passion for the industry, the stories and the characters behind the wine. Murray has recently completed his WSET3 wine qualification with distinction.
